After a few 'unwanted and unnecessary e-mails I'm sorry, but to place a comment you will now have to become a 'FOLLOWER" - People can be and are nasty creatures.
At the bottom of this Blog I've put 4 links - on the right hand side - They will take you to various news sites from various countries. Keep up to date.....! The same links are just below.
Due to poor health, I have decided to use this site mainly, and the site below for some of my postings....just click on it and choose the article to read from the list!

Happy Anniversary..

What good taste you all have!
UK 2010 election: What if the d'Hondt electora...Image by oledoe via Flickr

This, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, and all the others - is the 2000th Article on this Blogspot!
Amazing really, I never thought, 5 years or more ago, that I would have reached this stage, and apart from a few comments which didn't please me (they were all either about selling medecines or from Casinos etc..) it has all gone off quite well.
There have been an awful lot of system changes, mainly from Googles Blogger, nearly all good, the occasional one bad!
Sure - there are now hundred's of millions of Blogs and Bloggers now, but only one ME - so you're into something original!
What good taste you all have!

Although the author, iwmpop(mrlemarquis) lives in France permanently, he has sufficient information about other countries, including the UK to be able to comment reasonably well about the situation there, even if there are some things he has never understood - and never will....!

Obedient as ever, the Brits voted for the right, and shoved "keep left" into touch!
They may now be regretting that decision, even among some truly Conservative people I know in the UK, there are a few mutterings, but generally, in true British fashion, they can always blame someone else - this time the coalition partner!
Never mind, the severe financialcaning they must support will surely be offset by a monthly trip to the "Continent" to stock up with things like "HP Brown Sauce" (now made in Holland) or to look at the latest English cars (now made everywhere except in Britain)!
Nobody stocks up on wine and cigarettes any more - wouldn't be loyal (!) and, after all, the gooseberry and black currant English wines are so good that it pays to stay patriotic at 14 or 15 quid a bottle!
Anyway - to celebrate this 2000th article, I thought about giving something away, but what do you give people who have everything...so I just inserted a few links with "Zemanta" - click on them and enjoy a Web tour...!
