Exactly my feelings....."updating" is great if you can give some definate results, but I can't - not really!
Yes, the medication problem is being addressed by the medicals, and it seems to be slowly getting me somewhere, but on the other hand all the changes need time to adapt to and to evaluate.
For example - medication releives one problem but seems to create another one.....The "anxiety" treatment seems to work extremely well, but since taking the stuff I find myself feeling in an "unreal" world from time to time, and daily suffer from a sort of "numbness" in the fingers which only lasts a few minutes, but remains unexplained...!

Well - no doubt I will have to continue requesting more information from the Doctors.
They have been good, particularly my own Generalist a Dr. Cukier in Vauvert, and a Dr. Beck of the Cardiac Department of the CHU (Hospital) in Nimes.
Everything and anything remotely connected with the heart or other vital organs has been intensively checked, to be found in working order.....not perfect, that's why I'm a Cardiac patient. but not threatening either!
So......why don't I feel just great.....? Maybe time, maybe getting used to new doses, new medicaments - new situations.....
I just wish we could get on with it quicker......I have a life to try to put in order and live, for - and with - Tina Concetta Marzocca........!

It's a matter of fact!
Us big, hard men suffer just the same as those little frail female creatures from Panic, Stress and we are almost as prone to depressiveness as the female counterpart as well.
If you look at a simple explanation of "panic attacks" (here is a link to a relatively typical explanation).... http://www.helpguide.org/mental/panic_disorder_anxiety_attack_symptom_treatment.htm you will probably be struck, as I was, by the impressively long list of symptoms, all of which can be overlooked or simply ignored as "unimportant"......Well, they're not!
After some 3 months of receiving all kinds of treatment and controls on my various ailments, heart, diabetic, it just seemed to me that there was something simple we (me and the specialists) had overlooked!
Light dawned when my wife Tina Concetta took it upon herself to brave my rage, and show me what she had suffered from - many years before - during a "low" period in her life.....Panic Attacks.

I was rather more than sceptical at the start, but in around 15 seconds, I realised we had found the basic root of the problem.

Yes - cardiac and other serious problems were present, but they were in control - as best as they possibly could be.

Just......the patient felt totally miserable, completely unwell and tired out - permanently!

Well, to cut a long and miserable story short, I had an appointment arranged for the following day with my General Practitioner, and I took the bull by the horns and talked to him about it!Happy Doctor - he had found the solution... Actually it was my wife Tina Concetta who had done so, but - who cares - it was found.....wasn't it.....?
My first "trials" were immediate.....I hurried home and took one of these tiny tablets.
20 minutes later, I had my head spinning like a whirling dervish....30 minutes later I was in bed, and 6 hours later - I woke up!
I immediately called my Doctor and, in no uncertain terms, suggested what he may like to do with this stuff he had tried to kill me with.
His suggestion was simple.....take half a tablet...!

So - I did, later on that evening, and slept like a baby, no ill effects ans as a bonus, my wife slept well too......no (well, nearly no) snores from that side......

Just think - such a tiny little thing, split in two, hardly seeable, and I seem to have found my marital and other bliss again.......!

Surely, I'm not saying everybody - male or female - is sufferring from panic or depression, but I AM saying that it is worth considering the possibility, and sod the big hard man act.........

...It's a fact - things don't always go as you wish!
Since November, I've been fighting along with various heart problems, and this is proving more difficult than anyone expected, Doctors or Patient.

This now is a new situation dealing with

defibrilators (not pacemakers) and a new package of medicaments that should go

with them. Difficult to find the correct dosage and mixture, so I'm often having

small and large electro shocks which do save my life, but also leave me feeling

like death, and apart from the "Urgency" units where they put you on drips for a

few days then send you home, the only chance is trying the different

medicaments and dosage/mixture. This can lead to sickness (nausea) and worse.

I went this morning and they checked everything again but found nothing.

Probably

medicamental problem, so I'll have to persevere.

And I will........... just as long as I can!

Added to the problems is the fact that my wife Tina Concetta Marzocca is now present and installed with me in France.
It's what we both want, but we didn't count on the cardiac problems, and it is very difficult.
Lack of language amongst other things make it difficult for Tina to be a part of my "recovery" although we both try our damnedest.
We have no thoughts of any break up or whatever, we WILL stay together up till the end, whenever that may be- that is our swear word and absolute, firm - absolute and total decision.
The problem is that it does make life very difficult because travel is not easy - indeed certain types of travel won't be possible for quite a long time.

All this is partly, a large part, of the reason that I am unable to concentrate on my Blogs and other Sites.

I hope you will all understand.

Saint Nicholas Day

The tradition of Saint Nicholas Day, usually on 6 December, is a festival for children in many countries in Europe related to surviving legends of the saint, and particularly his reputation as a bringer of gifts. The American Santa Claus, as well as the Anglo-Canadian and British Father Christmas, derive from these legends. "Santa Claus" is itself derived from the Dutch Sinterklaas.

Traditionally, in the weeks between his arrival and 5 December, before going to bed, children put their shoes next to the fireplace chimney of the coal-fired stove or fireplace. In modern times, they may put them next to the central heating unit. They leave the shoe with a carrot or some hay in it and a bowl of water nearby "for Sinterklaas' horse," and the children sing a Sinterklaas song. The next day they will find some candy or a small present in their shoes.

Typical Sinterklaas treats traditionally include: hot chocolate, mandarin oranges, pepernoten, letter-shaped pastry filled with almond paste or chocolate letter (the first letter of the child's name made out of chocolate), speculaas (sometimes filled with almond paste), chocolate coins and marzipan figures. Newer treats include kruidnoten (a type of shorAdd captiontcrust biscuit or gingerbread biscuits) and a figurine of Sinterklaas made of chocolate and wrapped in colored aluminum foil.

Poems can still accompany bigger gifts as well. Instead of such gifts being brought by Sinterklaas, family members may draw names for an event comparable to Secret Santa. Gifts are to be creatively disguised (for which the Dutch use the French word "surprise"), and are usually accompanied by a humorous poem which often teases the recipient for well-known bad habits or other character deficiencies. Imagine, between this ordinary Tuesday lunchtime and this ordinary Tuesday evening, I suffered - it seems, and I am told - no fewer than 5 such attacks, two at home (one in the presence of the poor girlie "Tina Concetta") who had the presence of mind to call a mutual friend in France, who spoke French, and who alerted the "emergency services" another (second) one in the presence of the emergency forces), and three (!) in the Hospital Cardiac urgency services unit......scaring the "poopsy" out of the very young Cardiac Doctoress on duty......!

Seems it wasn't my moment.........that's why I (and Tina) call it:

"At the end was the beginning.....?"

This series of around three accounts is intended to take you through, with me, the whole period......as far as I recall anything....!
I'll be starting it just as soon as I get all my bits and pieces together and in one place.....I'm relying on my new "defibrillator" to protect me from any further attacks of the same nature......let's wait and see....

Now you see, this isn't some French way of saying something, it's a little "extension" available on the browsers "Chrome" and "Firefox". I don't know if it is available on Explorer or not, because I don't use Explorer!
What the extension "Zemanta" is intended to do is select items in any e-mail or blog article you are typing and colour them (in my case here in orange) to attract attention to them, because these words, if you click on them, are actually links to the various possibilities of this word.
If you click, for example, on "Chrome" above, you will be taken for a visit to the Google Browser pages "Chrome".....if you click on Firefox, then off you go to that one - and so on....!

You can make alterations to the settings, you can have it work in e-mails or websites/blogspots and so on, and to be honest, it could be a great little extension, except - I can't get it to work correctly - not even after a few mails back and fro' between the creators and myself. Neither on Windows systems or on Linux Ubuntu........

Great shame, really, but I'm fed up having all my text "pinched" and having to rewrite everything again.

Basically, one of the Banks which were nationalised to save it, "Hypo Real Estate Bank" have found a little error in their bookkeeping, to the tune of 55.5 MILLIARDEN Euros!
Just to recall what that represents..... - One thousand million euros, a 1 with 9 "0's" behind it, multiplied by 55.5 times........!
It seems that overstressed Accountants made the mistake...!
Now - there are a couple of points which strike me.....I wonder how much bonus the Accountants got for the mistake.....and how come I've heard NOTHING at all on any UK news Site/Radio/TV.....?
Surely, over the whole debt ridden World, it's not an enormous amount, but I think if the UK Government were suddenly to inherit such a windfall,they would either not tell us at all and spread it around between themselves, or the Government would crow at this unexpected lowering of the National Debt!
Mentioning this event on Facebook later last night, I had a response from a British person, terse - short and to the point.....
"If this had been UK, there would have been a "-" in front of the "1" - in other words an extra Deficit....!
Which probably explains the UK Gorvenmental expertise in using Euros.....!
Oh - by the way, if it is so insignificant, they can always transfer it to:

My wife died of bowel cancer, and nobody knew about this at the time. I take the stuff in a weaker version to avoid coronary problems, most people take it 'cos they've got a headach, period pains and other things.
It's turning out to be a real miracle worker. This is the good news, on the other hand, "Bayer" and the others are still making billions and billions every year, maybe even every day producing and selling the stuff.
It wouldn't surprise me if it were to disappear from "open sale" - there is more money to be made like that. It is, actually, already a "prescription medication" in the heart assistance format, which doesn't really make sense, unless you know this fact - my father died from a well known Aspirin side effect - stomach bleeding.
Aspirin doesn't cure - it helps, assists to control the condition, but normal strength Aspirin also causes stomach ulcers and bleeding, which is why a weaker form is available now for Cardiac patients. Explanation is that heart patients more often than not also take blood thinners, and should a stomach bleeding start, this makes it even more difficult to get it under control, so - don't go rushing out to buy a whole bundle of Aspirins......

A marriage......lasting 25 years to the decease of my wife Kathleen....

A new start.....for hopefully a L O N G time....

NOT one of my favourite subjects, so I try not to talk about them too much, but just now and then it has to be!
I recently (just 7 weeks ago!) paid a cheque from an American world wide Insurance company into my French Bank Account in a vaguely hopeful attempt to have it cashed before next year!
7 weeks is a bit of a record, really speedy stuff, and considering that this cheque had already been taxed by American authorities under a vague title of "Foreign Tax" (no idea what that means) I had hoped that I may get to see the colour of $US in Euros without too much loss in charges.
Well - "hope lies in the eternal breast" - but not with the Banks or Insurances.
Here ya go.......

FRAIS REMISE CHEQUE ETRANGER........-9,50
Total: 107.19

All that money for the so, so speedy service of 7 weeks.....On top of that, American Tax on something that had already been taxed, annually, as "income".......Just where does the legalised criminality stop?
To rub salt into the wound, I find on the advice site of a well known International company the following.....

In fact, even the European Community publishes lists of charges, and they say "these do not exceed $35".........So - what went wrong?

What went wrong......well - it's just that Banks and Assurances/Insurances don't give a toss for the law. They work on the basis that they can just take so long that the little people will get fed up, and - THEY'RE RIGHT! Even things issued by themselves are not respected...... In the United States wire transfers are costly and seldom if ever used by consumers. As an example of the cost, Bank Of America as of February 2010 charged $25 to send a wire and $12 to receive one within the U.S. For international transfer, it charged $35–$45 outgoing, $16 incoming. (From USA Banking regulations)

I'm also told, by my French Bank, that the best way is to arrange a "Bank Transfer", using the famous Identification called "IBAN" - a number shown on all your Bank Identification papers, given specially to allow the safe and speedy (within 3 working days) transfer from one country to another at the lowest price imaginable. Here is a description:

"IBAN is a standardised numbering system developed to identify bank accounts around the world. It was originally developed by banks in Europe to simplify transactions involving bank accounts from other countries."

The Royal Bank of Scotland, who refused me recently the service of "IBAN" on the basis that THEY couldn't do it, quote the following on their site:

3.3 Our charges that apply to international payments are:

Branch or Telephone Banking - £19.50
Internet Banking - £9.50

I ended up paying FIVE (5) times that! The American International Ins/Assurance company "Fidelity" also informed me simply that they were unable to use the "IBAN" details.....An INTERNATIONAL COMPANY who doesn't know how to do that?

Well I don't think I'll have anything to do with them again. Not very "fidèle" on my part.....!

Of course they can all do it, BUT....it's not going to earn enough for THEM....so they won't!

That is what it's all about.

Other things which are decidedly "illegally legalised" are the facts that the Client is NOT informed of the date of presentation, nor the Exchange rate obtained.

These are things a "nasty" client could, and in my case WOULD use to control the amount "offered" at the end of the transaction. One could almost get the impression that the complicated tables and charts, updated every few seconds, are uniquely for the Banks and other Financial whizz kids, NOT for clients as well!

I recently had a situation where my checks, daily, on the exchange courses showed a difference of up to $2,500, from one day to the next, and almost always to the detriment of the client - of course!

Well - where else could the poor bankers get the money to award themselves another "BONUS"........

Maybe we should all follow the advice of years ago, and use the only really safe place to put our money....safe that is from the Bankers.......That would also give us a new source of making economies, although no guarantee for the tenderness nor taste could ever be given...just like in real life...

Of course, this simple question will remain unanswered - far too difficult for a modest little man of figures to answer.......

Well, I guess it has to happen, and I'm not too unhappy about it either, not really.
Autumn has started, winter is on its way, so temperatures have dropped and I started with the heating, just to "take the chill" off the air.
Now it never, or rarely, gets really cold down here, but it is all relative. When you're used to an average of 25C over the whole year, going up to 40C in high summer, and down to around 8C in winter, and you live here, then you really notice any changes!
The heating is something I try not to turn on until at least the weekend of "time changing" - over here the last weekend in October, but that's late this year! DST ends on Sunday 30 October 2011, 03:00 France daylight time

The locals (and I'm almost one of them now) do have a tendency to take it as a "personal insult" from the powers that may or not be - if the temperatures sink to 0C or even lower....and rainy weather - at any time of the year - is also considered as a personal insult if it goes on for more than 3 days or so. Snow....? Well - yes, it does happen, for a few hours a year, and stays lying for maximum a day. In fact it mainly melts whilst falling, but it's quite a pleasant change.
Normally, every year, we have the right to extremely heavy rainfalls from September until mid-October, which leads to flooding. The downpours only last a few minutes, but are unbeleivably forceful, This year, we haven't had any.....as yet. One of the towns close by is a place called "Sommieres" (possibly known by some of you tourists) and it is almost annually visited by these floods.

Those of you who know this bridge in the centre of the town, know that normally there is a drop of a good 50 - 60 feet before you touch the little trickle of water.... supposed to be a river....Normally....!

This is the market in the centre of this unfortunate village....almost every year.... Just this year they installed, at great expense, a system which seems to have worked - not by diverting the rain, but by not letting it fall!
We'll see if the new system will work - sometime or other!
So - there we are....getting cooler, heating turned on when it falls under 15C outside, winter is coming, and those Geese are getting.........It can also be a pleasant period, waiting for Spring and Summer......

The only thing I like about the 31st of October is the fact that it is the end of the month - so....IT'S PAYDAY....!

Yes - I love pumpkin purée, mixed up with lots of butter and fresh cream, no I don't like candies......sticking my head in a bucket of water (ice cold in general) to go "apple dunking", or trying to eat apples covered in jam dangling on a string are not among my serious activities, and if I want to cover my beautiful body with a white sheet, then I'll do it whenever I want to, after joining a drag club or something - or when I go to bed!

No - I think I'll just go to my online bank and make sure my pensions have arrived, count them and make sure just how much I'm going to save by NOT participating in what I'm not going to talk about anymore!

So.....please don't come ringing my doorbell, there are no candies......and if you smear my door with sticky flour and water, I'LL SUE YA....!

Well - It looks like I'll have to admit that Europe has made a couple of mistakes, but not what you may think.
The main mistake Europe (the EU) has made is NOT controlling, strictly enough, the countries who want to join. Here are a few of the "criteria"...

Now, I was born in Europe, I worked in Central Europe most of my life, even before my home country, UK, became a member, and I'm happy to profit from the fact that they are a member, because it means I don't need Residence Permits and all the rest, but.........I'm also unhappy to say that I don't think the UK should ever have been allowed to join!
Like many of the new arrivals, it is only an economical decision. Yes - we want the advantages, no we don't wanna pay!
We wanna be in just a "bit" of your club, but not all - we aren't going to identify ourselves like everybody else with ID Cards, we aren't gonna drive on the correct side of the road, we ain't gonna learn any of your languages, and ...... we don't like Bullfighting, only want to eat New Zealand butter and lamb and bacon, but don't forget to accept giving our Citizens free treatment on your payable Health Systems......stop messing up our Great British Pound and our Great British Economy with your "Euro" stuff.....oh yeah, we'll take it, but ........and on and on it goes.
I'll wager that if it is urgent, they won't care less where they go......

Let's hope they get it right with the next ones who want to join up. Doesn't look like it..........

Poverty.....in the news again today, but then it's never really out of the news, just rarely spoken about.
They tell me that over one third of British Pensioners live under the official poverty levels. Well - I can tell you that the figures in France, in Germany and other "advanced European Countries" are similar.
They talk, today, about "child poverty", but I don't understand quite what this term means. They tell me that British Government measures are likely to push another 600,000 children into poverty, but surely that is only a way of hiding real figures.
It would seem to me that most of those 600,000 children belong to 600,000 families, and the average family consisting nowadays of something like 2 adults and 1.8 children, then the actual figure of OVERALL new arrivals in the poverty scene is 2,280,000 (Two million, two hundred and eighty thousand), because I presume that the childrens brothers, sisters, parents, (probably grandparents as well, though not included) are also in the poverty scene.
If we add the unemployed, those who are on the "breadline", those who are in Prison, Mental and other Health Institutions, then there isn't an awful lot of any population NOT affected. Those who are actually considered on "minimum income" would seem to "have it good".....what went wrong......?
Debtor's prisons abolished, probably to save money...now you can stay home and starve, instead of doing it in prison.
Governments arrange laws, and point to them with pride, saying that poverty struck people can offset heating bills from their Taxes for example! Only problem is that poverty struck people don't even qualify to pay taxes, and so offsetting something from nothing is.....difficult! Possibly the Authorities will explain to us how to do it?
....Maybe, but they aren't born free and never become it. Equality didn't - doesn't and never will - exist, and in some ways that is a good thing - the world would be a boring place if we were all equal and the same!
"Endowments" are multitude, but those used are not the ones stated, more - "Number 1" and "I'm all right, Jack".....and that will never change.
Poverty will always exist, those people in power - those people who aren't touched by it will ensure that....it makes them feel good.....

Seems it isn't just a question of having this stuff, money, it's more a question of what it can buy. Pensioners (and I presume, everybody else) can now buy 30% LESS with their money than they could just 8 years ago....Ongoing bleakness....every day brings some new information, generally NOT from the Politicians who are still speechless, but more from statistical offices. Maybe that's a good thing, since the Politicians rarely know what they are talking about, but statistics tell us, in hard numbers, what's going on, and the big "0" seems to play a leading role, whether it's preceded by 85 and followed by 000,000,000 (the amount of crispy new, not yet dried Bank Notes issued just recently).

Personally, I was born into a "post-depression" Society, where Rationing still existed, a post-war mentality, where nothing was plentiful - except religion and rain!
In the few years since then, I've passed through other "recessions" - "depressions" - you name it, it's been depressed or in recession at some stage of my life!
Now they're telling me that we lived ABOVE our level - well, I somehow object to that, because I most certainly didn't - I just tried to survive!.....In fact, they always told me that being a Military Career person wasn't the best paid thing, nor the safest occupation, but financially - it was sound. There will always be wars, somewhere - Countries won't go bust....well - I'll agree with the wars thing, there are even more nowadays - inflation I suppose, but I'm not too sure about the Countries not going bust - the only question to be asked is the simplest of all - Will they tell us... and when - before or after?

That is - before or after they have saved their own skins......

Yes - still "speechlessness"

I suppose they are all too busy trying to make Bank Transfers of an urgent nature......
Of course, they could simply tell us all that we will have to take out private Pension schemes, pay most of our salaries, current Pensions and the rest into them, and watch the Bankers and Politicians disappear eventually with the profits, leaving us - generously - the losses......!

Just the other day, the Governor of the Bank of England made a serious error, and actually spoke about "recession"....He told us all what yours truly has been saying for years, using that famous thing again - common sense!

(not ahead-right here, right now!)

He said - " Britain (the English always use that expression when it's bad news) is in the worst recession since the 30's if not the worst recession EVER".......Since then......SILENCE!

Actually, there wasn't even the slightest comment from any Politician, British or English - wonder why.Probably because they've known for years that the above headline is exact!
Although why the very person who is supposed to be "sorting it out" should tell us this and then disappear from the scene remains a mystery. Maybe he just wanted to build the basis for a bonus for giving excellent results - later he can say - "Told ya so - can I have my bonus now please....?"
Why the politicians - of all parties - should hold such a silence when they are normally so volumous in protests, is something else....After all, traditionally there is enough place for comments....
Let's be kind to them - they have been busy trying to persuade their own followers, after all, at Party Conferences and the like.....although why you should have to try to persuade your own people is a mystery ..particularly with silence......!

A Prime Minister has just launched an appeal to his loyal, devoted citizens..........for the sake of the economy. The fact of the matter is that common sense is often led by example, and the Government can only pay its bills by borrowing, ie - taking Credits!
Well - not a long time ago, I suggested that nobody uses common sense any more, and this is common sense...."pay yer bills" - yes, 'course we will - when we can, if we can - just don't know how to!
THAT is common sense, and it's also fact!
A seemingly out of touch Prime Minister who suggests that paying your bills will be good for the economy is on the right path....?
Well - since every single person in the country concerned, from newly born to almost dead, is in debt to the tune of somewhere around an awful lot more than they can ever pay back in
their lives!
This map was back in 2010, and people needed this credit, just to pay their monthly bills. It hasn't got any better, just more expensive.
The Credits already taken are kept, and are used to the maximum - just to pay the month!
Even the monthly repayments which allow a few pennies of relief don't help, because those few pennies go back into tying up the month's ending, always up to the maximum...always paying the maximum in interest rates, always listening to Banks, Bankers, Lawyers, Dentists and Company all squealing about how they can't live, always following the rich and famous giving out their "bonuses" freely and reading their "advice to lesser mortals"! ..I know - I've been there!
And then some out of touch, totally ignorant Prime Minister, claiming to represent a Country and its Citizen's way of living come up with what he clearly feels to be a piece of excellent common sense and advice. Says it, beams all around.........

"congratulations Mr Prime Minister, you told 'em!"......

then he pops off on a weekend break......
some place called "Chequers" - a little thing we'd all like to have, just a little weekend country home - free of charge, where we can think over how to:

...I use uniquely the browser "Chrome" simply because it's the best.
As with all Browsers, there is the possibility of arranging your "home" page, or arranging what pages open automatically when you start up the PC. This function is useful, letting YOU decide.

I have my Browser set to open up the home page as "Google.com" simply because I enjoy the occasional "Google Doodle" and I can go on World Tours starting from this essentially search page, appropriately called the Home page.
Great journeys always start from Home, and generally finish there as well - or in the Hospital!
On the other hand, I have a little problem with deciding which pages I would like to open automatically, obviously my incoming G-mail page is a must, but Facebook or Twitter........no I don't think so

That's probably not a very nice nor friendly photo to present, but somehow it sums up the total of a lot of things, over years.
There used to be a thing called common sense, just simple common sense, but something went wrong....
Seems that people started working on the basis that if it was common, then nobody wanted to know, and if it was sense, then they wanted to know even less. Why, they reasoned, do things simply -when you could make them so delightfully complicated.
The fact that if someone earns a million times more than somebody else then common sense states that they should pay more tax than the lesser earner, common sense could even go further, and suggest that they pay a million times more tax, and that's where the "make it more complicated" bit comes in!..... Imagine a society where common sense permitted "bonuses" for good and successful work results, but would necessarily require penalty payments for bad and unsuccessfull work, and that is just not acceptable.
I seems that more and more, nobody says the common sense things anymore, and probably because it IS common sense - a double edged sword....It's not only "math", because it doesn't only have to do with numbers and amounts, but also has to do with human misery and error.
Because it's common sense, it is presumed that everybody is aware of it, but unfortunately, with time, very few people are aware anymore of what common sense is, or should be.
Take common sense, dress it up so nobody can see the wood from the trees, and you've got the "honourable" art of "Politicking" - complete with bonuses for good and bad.......Great huh...?
Why not bring back common sense - undressed, and figure out that there are simpler ways to do things better.....as here - ....wouldn't having a supply of candles be of primary assistance and help.....?
Can I have my bonus now please.......?It's nearly Christmas time!

I'm not one for loose ends, so I have to try to tie at least one up!

My problem with the limpid story of the above person's adventures in the USA was not so much concerned with the actual sordid or not sordid details, but in reality with the reaction of both the Press, and a Justice System which ignored and still seems to ignore the meaning of the word justice. Logically both should be up in front of judges for their respective rôles in the sad story of the downfall of an individual. THAT would be justice, so it won't happen.
The only people who really should have anything to say on the subject should logically be the two individuals concerned, truthfully - so that won't happen either, and possibly the French justice in the question of the complaint registered by a French female authoress who "just happened" to have a new publication arriving on the market right at that very moment - again truthfully - so again - that won't happen either!
There is one other section of the population who will probably have the final word in the history, the French voting public, and they will have one question to answer:
YES or NO.......

It is truly surprising, listening to opinions, in French, on French radio, of many ordinary female listeners views. Many of them have an inherent, probably very French point of view that the main actor may well be a seductor, but he isn't an agressor! They continually state that for them, it is still nice to know that, as a woman, they can still attract the attention of the male counterpart. An International female point of view or purely "latin"........?

In any case, the story is, for me, finished, just be nice to see the outcome of both cases in the USA and in France which are still ongoing.

What happened regarding a maid in a luxury New York hotel suite in May was a "moral weakness," French politician Dominique Strauss-Kahn said Sunday in an interview with French television station TF1.

He denied any violence or aggression, but said the incident was "an error, a mistake -- a mistake concerning my wife, my children, my friends" as well as the French people "who placed their hope for change in me."

Last month, a judge dismissed sexual assault charges against him in an international scandal that altered France's political landscape.

Strauss-Kahn was pulled off a Paris-bound plane in May in New York over accusations he sexually assaulted a Guinean maid in a luxury hotel suite in the city.

Days later, he resigned from the International Monetary Fund, spent a few days in jail and was put under house arrest.
