Whereas, in the Bordeaux,Burgundy and other areas, the debris is used to make a double fermentation and destilled, to make Calvados, certain Cognacs, Marc du vigne, and other highly alcoholic "digestivs" or "pousse-cafes",here in the area they are used for various produces, by a local company "Fines d'OC" - They make perfume, agricultural fertilizers and products, beauty products, but also a very acceptable "Brandy" not available I beleive in France, but drunk a lot in Germany, possibly in Holland too. It is called "Dujardin" brandy. So now you know - made in Vauvert - exported all over the place!
