Quick Gems

please bear with me, but these two little gems turned up after I had finished the latest (see below) and I thought they were such nice little gems, you should be informed!
Gem 1: The Bordeaux wine growers are revolting. Yesterday they signed a "pact of non-sale" which means that they will not sell any Bordeaux wine to any purchaser who they consider to be "not serious" particularly in the price offer!
In other words, the arrogant Bordelaise, after living in cloud cuckoo land for decades, with prices spiralling ever upwards, have landed on their noses! No (or few) sales - declining interest in Bordeaux wine, due to the too high prices. What do the idiots do? Instead of reviewing their price policy, they put a sales stop, unless the purchaser pays what they want! Well, not even Burgundy wines made that mistake, and in the choice between the two, for me Burgundy will always win. Who needs the gout from the over tanniny Bordeaux anyway?
Gem 2: In the words of the news presenter on French TV, "The British celebrated, some time ago, in all pomp and very loudly, the Anniversary of the Trafalgar Battle.
We, in France, celebrated today, the Anniversary of the Battle of Austerlitz, discreetly, bearing in mind our neighbours sentiments. This great victory, by French Troops under Napoleon, does merit however, to be proclaimed once again from the rooftops, much as the British did for their Trafalgar".
There you are - Europe re-united!!!!!!!! Fencing
