Amazing really. If you try to work out the "carbon footprint" of something like the World Grand Prix Series (F1), you will, like me, rapidly give up. To get a true idea, you have to start at the beginning, the trials in the various different countries of the world, just to try and develope a vehicle which SHOULD go faster (not at all FURTHER nor more CHEAPLY/ECONOMICALLY) than all the others, who are trying to do the same thing at the other end of the world! Then you've got to get all these things together, on a Tuesday or Wednesday, wherever they have to go, by whatever means possible. All the equipment, all the drivers/technicians/mechanics/petrol and oil tanks/tyre supplies and who knows what else! Then they all have to get installed, and spend 3 days driving round in "trials" - before the actual real thing..!
