I'm not too sure that we're finished hearing new headlines, certainly from Japan, and if I lived on the Pacific coast side of the USA , I'd be jumping up at any noises in or around the house. It seems to be in the nature of people, even here in France - not particularly earthquake threatened, to build on risky places, take the chance and then wonder what went wrong. Some places it's difficult not to - like Japan - where it seems that the whole country is at risk - all the time. Of course, there are those people who insist that all this is " God 's revenge for the IInd World War atrocities" - they are just plain maniacs. " BLOGGER " - the organ that is responsible for the publication of all the Blogs , has come up with a new idea....or is it Google Chrome who've come up with it.....? Either way, now - instead of having to click "older posts" or "Blog Archives" to read more, you just keep going down the page you're on, and when you get down near the end, it charges the next page automatically.....The idea is good, I'm just asking myself what effect this has on the visits register. After all - in the past you had to "reclick" to get older articles, which meant one more visitor.....! Either way, it is a service for the reader.....hope you like it...! Now, as some of you may already know, I just look all the time for things to amuse you all with, and quite some time ago, I found a thing called " ZEMANTA "..... You can look at this programme just by googlin' it, and downloading it if you wish, I thought I'd just let you know that I'm trying it again....from now on...! The problem was that it never worked on my old pc, possibly because of the technical capabilities, so I took it off. Basically it's a programme that finds "links" to subjects - all by itself...clever little thing! For example, I just talked about "pc" - so it went and got some images, like this one..... They never stop at Google. Sometimes it annoys me - just getting used to something that works well, and the "whizz kids" change it, and invariably it doesn't work for a while! After the article yesterday about their "Google Chrome Operating System" I found out about "Google Lists"... Image via CrunchBase Did you know that G-mail from Google has a super " anti-spam " system installed automatically, and it's rare I receive spam in my in box. Even when I receive it in my Spam box, it is covered top and bottom with red warning messages from Google saying - "this message may not be from whom it says it is - don't ever give details to anyone etc..". This "spam" DID arrive in my inbox, and may be a change in "tactical warfare" from the "Spammer Warlords" - you know - those guys sitting in shanty tin cabins, dressed up to the nines, surrounded by hungry, dirty little boys, who idolise them, tapping away on their keypads, and sending stupid messages to all and sundry! The AMAZING thing is - it still seems to work! There are, it seems still people out there greedy enough to think that a quick few thousands can be had! There ARE companies who tell us things, honestly and openly. Although I'm not a "McDonalds" fan, I do like the publicity they have had for quite some time now, letting us know WHERE their stuff comes from, how it's prepared, what nutritional value it has and lots more. If you want to read all about my problems with Google-click on the link/title (near the little orange arrow)!(iwmpop) Wow! I found an address where I was able to unblock my Account! Why can't Google simply suggest doing this in the first place? I didn't even know they were blockable, much less that it was blocked, and even less where to go to unblock the thing! As you can see, I got part III or IV (I've forgotten, with all the goings on) of Christmas 2006 Ron & Eff onto the site (by email) but with only a smiley as illustration! I'll put the other illustrations (all prepared and no place to go) onto the last part, or maybe in between the parts! (Always assuming that no buggar from Blogger locks me out again!)
