Voila quelques photos pour les pauvres gens (comme moi) qui ne peuvent pas partir en vacances - Ciel bleu guarantis! Des autres pendante l'ete! Some photos for those of you too poor (like me) to go away on holiday- others will follow during the summer! Einige photos fuer die leute (wie mich) die nicht im urlaub fahren koennen! Publicity in my own thing!
Rare indeed - mr le marquis making publicity in his own thing, maybe that is why he is as poor as the church mouse, or the proverbial aristocrat. For all you other poor things, who can't go off on holiday, I'll try and share a little of the atmosphere of a Southern French Village, with it's festivities, its weather, its scenery and all the rest. When the cat's away!
As you know - when the cat's away, the mice will play! It's horrible weather, so obviously Chippie and family, Wacky-backy and family, and all the rest are on their way into their well-deserved (?) holidays'. I'm going to play - with my NEW tool-bar. I'm not being unfaithful to my smileys, but I just wanted to try out these new things - to see if and when and how they worked!! Here we go!! So what do you reckon to these? Since it's holiday time, most people will not get around to watching these pages with their regular glee and promptitude, therefore I am putting up a couple of things in advance (for if and when you all return from Hols)! Here is the result of the enquiry into bad michelin tyres in US of A - They weren't completely round, and like jelly babies some of them had an "extra" little bit! Now all this, of course, whilst being annoying for some american race fans, was very enjoyable for certain female admirers like Tinkerbelle. It's always nice to get to see a little bit extra. So he doesn't feel left out of it, here is a little (!) bit extra for Chippie: What the text says is that our man is probably a fan of shapely legs! Tatty-piddle!

Many years ago, centuries in fact! Maybe someone, somewhere, will recognize the preceding and following photos! Or maybe they will be too busy fox-hunting, as we normally were in those days. (Original story will be published - maybe - after the holidays.)
Holidays - holidays!
Chippie had a heart attack - I told him his holiday home had been sold, but I also calmed him down with the news that a two man (or 1 woman/1man) bivouac would be set up specially. Don't know if he appreciated the situation or not! The roads are blocked, the bridges are falling down, it's snowing - Chippie must be on his way! The following photo is of a little jazz concert that happened today outside my home. No - I don't live in the church, but there are other houses around! I've tried to send a video, around 50secs long, but I think one may have to click on the photo and wait - anyway give it a try. If not, click onto download icon, and when it's on your hard disk - play it and then delete it. The music ain't great!! Anyway - I'm off to give it a try!
Saturday evening.
Don't know what the tent people are doing, and I can't find a newsagent open - never mind, I'll just go to bed with Mme Granite de l'oasis-she's always available!! It is Saturday evening. I have spent many precious minutes going through my some 497 available TV Chanells, and have found myself with an "Edgar Wallace" film, German version from roughly l960. At the time, beleive it or not, these German films used to clear the streets every Saturday night in Germany, people pouring into the cinemas, to see basically the same thing week in, week out! This led me to thinking - what do people do now on Saturday evenings? Apart from those who celebrate bathnight, who shall remain A.Nony.Mouse. I took my courage in both hands, and with all the might and power of MSN "search the web completely" , followed by "Google - picture search of the entire web - over 260,000,000,000,000,000,000 (ad infinitum) picture/images available" - I finally ended up

All the new articles/photos that follow this "last (maybe) post" for this weekend, will, I hope, have cheered you up, depressed you down and otherwise aroused certain emotions!!!! I, for my part, have to concentrate now on my week-end diat. I'm trying a "Gourmet's" weekend, before the tourists arrive, and I have to serve them their rubbish (and eat it with them) I'm starting this lunchtime with a couple of little mackerel which jumped clean out of the sea onto my plate, together with some of those little "scraped" new potatoes normally only findABLE IN uk IN SPRING, AND NOT FINDABLE AT ALL IN fRANCE UNTIL LAST YEAR.! These tatties always recall weekends in SW London, Spring and Summer Cricket lunches, produced normally by my wife (I was either batting or bowling) - but those lunches, together with the salad cream always stay in my mind! Maybe the tourists will be lucky this year, and if they ASK me, I will produce such a festin for them!! Hav
A TIP from me!
Just a little tip from me to you - If you ever want to see the page an article has come from (eg the weeks news in pictures etc) just click onto the image twice, and wait. For the sound on the following items for example, click twice on the photo, and wait! Eventually MSN Video will open up, with sound and pictures. If you want to make a copy of any photo, click on the image and onto the icon TV screen and follow instruction. Once on your hard disc, you can make your copies and/or print outs (if you have enough money to but the ink cassettes!! If you want to BUY a colour printer with a LIFE LONG supply of colour cartridges for your friend "Mr le Marquis", please do so and wait for his suffocating kisses!
