Got teeth in it, charlie!

Image
Like what Charlie used to say - "Bloody hell, our kid, it's got bloody teeth in it!" Nr 8's rubbish in front of nr 4"door! As you can see, I'm amusing myself with this new download thing. The other photo is one of the acts of a neighbour gone barmy in the heat! He was upset that the binmen hadn't emptied his bin, so he emptied it himself! Not in front of his own door, but in front of mine! After the Police, he was as nice as pie!! These are the things that happen when it's hot and sultry too long!! Oh those Josephine's! Oh those neighbours! Oh those burggars!

Summer wine - maybe the last of!

Image
I was just starting into filling my bottles of wine for July/August, when I suddenly thought: "careful - these are probably some of the bottles which will be shared by Chippie/Tinkerbelle/Wackybacky and wife/ Britbulldog - troyan and wife as well as others - so take care! Be warned - Holidays are almost upon you, and we are just entering into our 5th week of unsupportable heat wave - 39C day and what is worst around 32C night!! When it finally collapses, Chippie and Tinkerbelle will enjoy themselves (as usual) bailing out the caravan and everything else. I just hope you have all been able to sleep a little up till then. I am, personally, knackered! I don't want to spoil your fun, but I hope it throws it down ALL July and Agust and September, with temperatures of around 25c - That would be GREAT!! I'm going to try and copy/cut/paste this one from Blogger, to send individually, since there are certain of you who never look into http://marquisdugalipot.blogspot.com

Yes Chippie - they were indeed from Heinz!

My god-Tinkerbelle! Were they ORIGINAL Heinz baked in tomato sauce?

Not all new things are good!

Image
Not all new things are good! As you have witnessed, I have, seemingly, a wonky planet, on the blink, and not sure whether it should stay or go! Sound like the real thing? Probably! I give all these new things a go, a few times, because they are developing all the time, but I still prefer my Smiley's (isn't he lovely?) My next news posting will, however, deal with the re-establishment of lost contacts, up there in the NW of England. After 8 years of silence - finally news from E&W - yet another couple of Chippie and Tinkerbelle quality, but I'll explain all that later. I have news of Gunther also, but he will be waiting until the start of the winter months! Right then, another tryout of this NEW photo download device is called for - don't blame me for the photo!! IT SEEMS TO HAVE WORKED!! (PS - everytime you see a photo/image/picture on the right hand side of the page, you know I've used the download tool, just like the lumberjacks in the picture! I don't kn

more new things!

This is the new, splendid(?) download device of photos etc from Google/Blogger. I didn't (and still don't) know if it will really work, so I dowloaded the whole world!

Chippie built this-you can tell - it's not straight!

Just had to try this one out!

Chippie's great-grand-dad!

I just saw a few pictures on the tele about the anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar, which mr Chirac still takes as a personal blight! The pictures made me reflect (as you can see from a couple following ) on ships carpenters, Portsmouth, Nelson, friggin' in the riggin', sale of souvenirs and various other things. No doubt a great weekend will be had by all - but I just hope they don't let too many people onto the "Victory" at one time, because Chippie and his descendants have been selling nails and other bits and bobs for a hundred years or so, as souvenirs to tourists. I honestly do beleive it's only the dirty, oily, tarry water that keeps the thing afloat! Anyway, I'm sure all will go well, and all will have a good time.

Chippie's gr/grandad's been shot in the rigging - good god that hurts.

Is this really Chippie's greatgrand-dad?

Is this Carnon - or maybe "La grande motte!"

Old dog - new tricks!

As you can see from the photos underneath, I've found a new trick!! I'll be trying it out over the weekend (the weather still being so heavy and hot). This weekend there isn't a Grand Prix - or is there?

Summer newsletter 2005

Image
As you can imply, summer has arrived. In fact it's been here for about a month and a half, and the last 10 days have been hell! Just like the hot steam bath shown above, but without having to actually jump in. Anyway, it's that "tourist time" and they have to have the heat. BE WARNED all the same, because traditionally weather like this means trouble not too much later on in the year, with floods, downpours very violent electrical storms, you all know the sort of thing I'm talking about, 'cos you've all enjoyed them in the past. This year, I must say, it has all started very early, very hot, very long, no rain, menacing clouds the evening which pass on, leaving you there like a limp lettuce! All the joys of summer holiday, you know, the period you have saved up all year for, and a part of those joys finds itself in those oh-so-menacing clouds!! Anyway, passing onto other news, without giving away the anonymity of individuels! I under
