Like me? Well- I've got SP3,so we're OK!

If you've not taken the time and trouble to move to XP SP3, you may have a problem. It's been available for a couple of years now, so read on and download/install as quick as possible...! (for the whole page article click on the title): Are you still using Windows XP with Service Pack 2? If so, you'll want to take note of Microsoft's warning that it will terminate support of Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) on July 13th, 2010. According to a recent PC Advisor poll, 37 per cent of respondents are still using Windows XP. Of that number, 15 per cent of those users still have not yet upgraded to Windows XP Service Pack 3. (Source:  pcadvisor.co.uk ) Windows XP users who have not yet upgraded to Service Pack 3 will need to do so before July 13th, 2010 in order to continue receiving Microsoft's latest  security  updates. Image via Wikipedia yes - Windows can be useful too! OK - you don't want to spy, just control a little bit...! Sons, daughter, others..... Has your PC been used whilst you were in the pub/club/church/WI etc....? Well you can find out - easily! In WIN XP go to "Start" - "Run" and type in the following: eventvwr.msc - (you can "copy - paste" to avoid mistakes) The page which opens is like this: (click to enlarge) Amazing what you can find out! Having fun with Windows....!

Well - it all started with this little image, when I started up the other day: So - being an obedient little ****, and always having faith in Mr Bill and his cronies, and their system, I followed the instructions given....! (if the images are too small-click on them and they'll open up much larger) Imagine - this is what I got! Doesn't always pay to have faith - it seems..! Well, I thought - this is a rum doo........! Being persistant, I insisted, and finally got this. Halfway there I thought, and got onto the CNetForums, Image via Wikipedia one of my traditional sources of help, and a delightfully named gentleman " cursor cowboy" replied very quickly, with a whole REAM of suggestions! Some were a little above my head technically (I am only a geek after all), but I didn't have to go as far as them - I found a "sort of solution" in the second suggestion, and - on application, I found myself with this: WELL......! Now it seems that I've got 2 hal...

Is it beleivable....?

Is it to be believed? It's only a few days that Windows released their pre-trial of the finalised System WINDOWS 7. Already they have published the FIRST hotfix for a bug! Click on the title to read about it. The question is - what mentality do these "buggers" have - those whose only point in life seems to be to annoy and upset everybody else. VISTA was already rejected by an enormousnumber of clients, and the only system that seems to work from Windows is XP (Pro SP 3.5) - and they've stopped support for that! How do the PC manufacturers feel - they are going to be responsible for the final sale of their PC's equipped with the new Windows O/S "7" - already bugged! And the future purchasers of new PC's? What are they supposed to do? Close their eyes and hope...........?
