It appears that some of you like my "Smiley's", so here are a few for this period of the year. The New Year ones that are still shown with "2008" will probably be updated very shortly! If you just want these few, then you can store them on your PC individually, just right-click and "save image" to wherever you wish on your PC. If you would like the whole programme, then search the Web for "My Web", and download the tool bar, giving you access to the Smiley Centre - with thousands of smiley's, some talking, some moving - or create your own! One of them is called "cooliris", and - beleive me, it quickens up life a lot! Basically it's a tiny programme which shows a little blue logo on links on pages you visit. Instead of clicking on these links, and waiting to see if it's what you thought or wanted, this programme opens up a "mini" sized preview of the page, which you can look at, and decide whether it's for you - or not! You can then open the link in full page, or close it and stay on the page you're on. You can even send the previewed page by email without leaving your original page - Good isn't it! It does this without leaving the original page, so going back and forwards with the arrows or history is obsolete.

It's "one of those modern things - got no time for 'em"! And yet - here we are - using it, this modern thing. Born only around 1922, apparantly, it is unthinkable "a life without it". Yet it has only just begun to influence Public and Private lives. Governments are up in arms - for many reasons, not least because they can't figure out a way to tax it, or suppress it if you don't use it as they say you should! A couple of changes on this Weblog! In an effort to make the page charge quicker, for your convenience, and in compliance with suggestions from "Blogger", I have limited the main page to 10 articles. According to Blogger, this should allow the page to load quicker. I timed it out, with a little programme, and this Weblog took roughly 1minute and 10 secs to load completely. Depending on your Internet connexion, this can be quicker or slower, and now with my changes - it should be quicker! Another important point - the articles you don't see on the main page aren't lost - you can find them in "ARCHIVES" Final point - when a change is made to an existing article (as is the case of "Picasa 3" videos - see below) the article is NOT REPUBLISHED as a new article, so it stays in the same position! Now and then I get this overwhelming need to amuse myself - I hope you understand!   There's often a lot of basic truth in humour and cartoons!   And even if there isn't - that's the point - there isn't one...!   So - just enjoy them, and have a good belly laugh....!
