Now then - get away from your PC and do something useful! This is ideal for all those people who come to see me every year and who moan and groan that either they don't have any ideas or they just don't know how to cook...! Open an account (FREE - Gratuit) and then enter whatever bits & pieces you have in the house that's edible (don't put in the cat/dog/cockroaches etc) then all you have to do is follow instructions! Now then - ain't I a nice Marquis.....?  BONNE APPÉTIT.......! Say thanks to me Dad - then get off and do it - just do it....!  *************** http://www.supercook.com/ Login:

Shopping again...?

Image
My - am I finding out things for you - and for me. OK - shopping for groceries isn't something most men like to do, I don't mind, and in a 1 person household, someone's got to do it! Therefore - I might as well be up to date with all the tips! An American article, from Readers Digest, but both articles can be applied "world-wide" - except maybe in China or Japan, where you don't buy anything...! Article 1 you can read by clicking on the title of this article, and article 2 by copying this address to your address bar: http://www.rd.com/living-healthy/18-more-tips-from-your-grocer/article119347.html I often wondered why the milk always went sour after only using half of the bottle.....! This stuff is fresh, but they're not allowed to sell it to us - it might be contaminated.....! Great life - huh...?

3rd Thursday in November.

Image
The 3rd Thursday in November, as usual - I've got my nouveau, and it's now calmly resting, lying down, recovering from the long journey! No - not this evening, nor next week, maybe in a month's time - then at Christmas, then at New Year, and finally at Eastertime. Beaujolais nouveau is "keepable" for some months, and only gains in quality and taste (like all wines) from a period of quiet repose - even if it is acceptable at parties, it likes its peace and quiet....like me! Savoir vivre, savoir faire......!
