Doing my best!

I'm doing my best! I'm going to try and arrange my blogspots that have been on my list "to do" for a long time!
It's difficult, because my gardening duties (which have been enlarged by the duties of electrician, plumber, cook, carpenter, and general fact-totum) are now taking up somewhere around 75% of "awake hours" and the rest is taken up by dealing with normal MY household matters!
Just to simplify matters, Wacky-backy is in town (or rather some 65km away) and insists upon coming down this Thursday to take me up to where he and his family have installed themselves, a place calle Anduze. This means him doing 2 backwards and forwards trips, a total of some 260km!!
He's nice, but he's BARMY!
I've tried to contact him, phoning all the Hotels, Camp-sites etc in the area of Anduze, but nobody has heard of them! I hope he's going to call back before Thursday, because he is one of my few friends, and I'd like to try and keep him as such! I don't want to go to Anduze, and certainly not if he is having to do 260km! Oh these tourists!
Having just arranged myself to catch up on my blog matters, and having worked all morning in the garden, in the house of the garden etc.. etc .. I thought I merited the pause.
The telephone rang, and one of those guy's who call themselves my "step-sons" asked me if he could pop on over! Always too indulgent to others, I said yes!
He was outside the door, phoning with his mobile-phone!! This "step-son" deals with transporting dead bodies and doing funerals - he has his own business, and he has gone International a while ago.
Problem? He can only just speak French, never mind English/German/Spanish etc, so every time he has a problem it's Mr. le Marquis who has to bail out!!
I don't mind that, after all it's quite a change from gardening - arranging for dead bodies to be comfortable! The thing is that this sort of business is unbelievably rewarding, financially - to those who do it. BUT not for me!
This time it was for the purchase of a second enormous, modern hearse, capable of taking 2-4 corpses (in automatic raising coffins - sort of "in layers"). These things are made mainly by MB (Mercedes-Benz) and therefore ordering them is a question, often, of contact direct, in German.
1 hour later, all is well, 3 or 4 undertakers in Germany have my e-mail address, have talked to me, and have confirmed the price I am prepared to pay - around 80,000euros!!!!!
ME! I haven't got 2 euros to rub together, but my "son-in-law tells me "ALL WILL BE WELL!!"
I haven't got the guts to ask him for a retainer fee, and he hasn't got the intention of offering me one either!
Impoverished aristocrat as I am - like all the others, I see immense sums of money passing through my hands, and when finished, I ask myself - have I got enough to buy a baguette?
Step-dads don't eat! Step-sons bomb around Europe in MB's with dead bodies (and probably alcohol, cigarettes and god only knows what else) in the back. That's life, folks!
But I am going to have a day off tomorrow, and if it could rain, instead of the normal blue skies, sunshine, and 30C, I would be quite content. Therefore - it won't rain.
Until, hopefully, tomorrow Bye-bye!
(My themes would be):

I want to win the lotto, so I can tell (almost) everybody to BUGGAR OFF!

The always present Salvation Army girl in that provocative little mini-skirt that stops JUST above the knees! (Everybody has seen one!)

Start to the stories about "Famous quotes" (You know, things like "This sausaage is nice")

Do my now famous newsletter in French (which nobody reads!), in German (which everybody reads, but only the dead bodies and Mercedes Benz workers understand!) and in English (which Tinkerbelle would love to read, but Chippie cuts the PC off! Could end in divorce!)

What are you all going to do when petrol hits 10euros/12 pounds sterling/litre? Are you going to laugh uncontrollably and say "stop the habit", as you all did when MY one and only pleasure - cigarettes - hit 300% more!

Lot's of things to do - no time to do it!

First of all - my fun - my SMILIES!!
