Over this Friday and weekend, a couple of things about Halloween.Witch Cauldron

On the personal political side, a story about the DDR (ex-East Germany) which I was surprised to see on the German TV the other day.

This will eventually lead to a story (later on) about "Cell Nr. 7". This was the cell at Spandau prison serviced every 3 months by Mr le Marquis (and others) occupied by.............no, I'll tell you later, when I do the piece.

All this, and the occasional "tale of many cities", and with my little break for "clinical work" we should be up, roughly, to the time for the normal Christmas carol - this year I have heard some talk that our French family (remember them from last year?) are going to the high mountains over the festive period, if they can find everybody and get them all into the cars.

The new year will possibly start with "A Scotsman's lament" and go overy "Destiny",
by which time we should all be victim of the chicken 'flu (what with chicken pox and all the rest, this harmless little beast doesn't seem to like us humans)and searching vainly for one of those 180 million vaccines everybody forgot to order!

One of London's 'Commons' Carrying on with my little series about London, a City but also very much a collection of villages which I enjoyed living in, working in, getting married in, and finally "'leavin'", I just wanted to touch on those places which London has so many of......'The Commons' - rather akin to Public Parks, but immense in size and in every 'village'....
