Update - for those interested!
Just an update of the situation and a history of "The things that can happen, and have!"
You come out of the first Doctor's surgery in a longish list of "control" appointments, and you don't really know what to think!
On the one hand, the guy's just told you that your Blood Analysis couldn't be more perfect! Sugar count perfect, urine count perfect, cholesterol count perfect, white and red corps count perfect, weight perfect, lungs perfect, everything perfect - You're obviously on the right way to becoming a centurian! BUT............:
On the other hand, that little thing on the foot you thought just to be a corn, is actually now seen to be a complication of "calcium rejection" and the bone is doing its best to get out of your body, changing permanently (just like the mouth problem) This necessitates a visit to yet another specialist, who informs you that you will need to go back to the hospital and have "shoe inserts" made, otherwise the bone will continue to move, and you'll end up with a permanent limp, back problems , and eventually vertigo problems, and of course must be done due to the ongoing Diabetique problem, where no "unhealable wounds" particularly on the feet are allowed, at the risk of amputation! Well, they certainly know how to cheer you up!
That little problem of a "click-click" around the scar point of central rib cage, from the by pass operation, is related as well! It seems that the bone structure is moving all the time - this is NOT too wonderful for the wished and required welding together of the rib cage, and in fact, it is not welded together at all, in spite of the "metal bits" holding the rib cage together! There is now a "hole" or rather an "overlap" where the rib cage should be level at both sides, it isn't, one side is higher than the other! giving a sort of hole/overlap. This will not be correctable except by the reopening of the cage, and new fixations inside, in an attempt to stabilise the joint! No garantees can be given.................due to the calcium problem again! Well, I think we'll just leave that one out!
Dental replacement problems also caused by the calcium problem, and I wonder how long it will take them to get fed up with replacing the shoe inserts every 2-3 months?
Now we'll get on with the next one on the list - Eye Doctor, he'll probably tell me I can see perfectly, but wouldn't I just like to have a new pair of glasses anyway?
Later on, over at the Cardiologue's place, he'll inform me that everything is perfect - just that small problem of a very slightly enlarged aorta, and he'll resume his analysis of the last Rugby match between France and Écosse!
The taxi people who drive me all over the place, at the Health Insurance's cost, will book a holiday in some exotic and expensive place - grâce a mr. le Marquis!
On the other hand - everything is tickety-boo, the heart is pumping away like a good one - just as well on this Valentine's day! Happy days are here again!
