What does one say....?

An old adage, originally from the North of England, particularly Yorkshire and Lancashire is, and always has been:
"Where there's muck - there's money" (also called "brass" in the regions concerned).....
I think that - although truer than ever ( we see that from the "recycling" companies who are springing up everywhere, and making fortunes from what WE throw away) the wording of this adage could be slightly altered to represent more the truth in our modern world.
How about: "Where there's money - there's muck".
From certain scandals recently,   Banks - Assurances - "Windfalls" - success premiums for people who have pulled everybody down into the muck,  de-frauding the general public (ie - Politicians expenses, social benefit frauds amounting to over 5,5 milliarden - that's more than  $555,000,000,000 - just in the UK alone), Pakistani cricketers accepting money to play incorrectly, International Disaster aids - which seem to disappear - somewhere,  and now something else that we've ALL known or suspected for many years, Mr Sepp Blatter's "honourable" members of the selection committee, responsable for the allocation of the rights to stage the Soccer World Cup,  who seem to spend more time travelling around the world, 1st class of course, with "hospitality" provided by the inviting Nation - plus a "little" contribution to the private coffers of these individuals. The latest one being the Nigerian representative who, it is alleged, demanded the coquette sum of $1.4 million to cast his vote for the USA as the host nation....Only the latest in a long line of "muck"....!
No doubt all will be arranged, as usual.
The person(s) in question, like the Cricketers, the Politicians will be "pensioned off" after year long legal battles, people will forget, and the "honourable" people will have long since moved to  more lucrative swindles, frauds and muck...!
Don't ask me for a solution, I recall that in "Alice in Wonderland" there was a royal character who stated the most reasonable solution - "Off with their heads!"........
I suppose we're too civilised...?
