25 years ago.......

...25 years ago this very day, the biggest Peacetime, civilian nuclear disaster took place. They called it "an accident".....
The first nuclear disasters were probably the two nuclear bombs at the end of World War Two, dropped on Japan by American forces......
The differences are enormous. In the case of the first in Japan, there was no doubt about cause, nor of responsability. The fact that the responsables were in a wartime stand-by mode supposedly relieves them of any charges of crime against humanity.
It's a question of opinion.
The second, at Tschernobyl is totally different.
Civilian responsability was, and still is being hidden. The figures of dead, injured and ongoing sufferers is not even known, and no Government is terribly interested in finding out!
Personally, I am sure that my life was changed totally by the second event.
Both I and my wife were travelling back and fro' France - Germany, both countries being affected by the drifting Tschernobyl toxic cloud, which of course did NOT stop at the borders as promised!
My wife was affected much more than I, travelling to both countries and "following" the cloud!
We neither thought anything about it really, but my wife died some years later, at an extremely early age, from Cancer, and a Cancer which I was informed had been on the rise for some time - more precisely - since the Tschernobyl disaster.
I lost my wife, others also lost family members....or even their own life.
I have just heard that the numbers of estimated deaths from the passing of the cloud are being given as "upwards of 100,000" - ongoing!
French and German people are attacking their Governments with legal accusations - I doubt that they will get anywhere at all.
"Big Brother" - in the nature of "big brother" - does not assume the responsabilities for their actions, and doesn't even reflect on their statements untrue or unrequired.
On this day, do have a nice time....the weather is fine, maybe a trip on the lake will be on the plan.......after all - that little cloud over there, and the ones you CAN'T see won't do anything bad.....
Will it.......
