For your information.

After a few 'unwanted and unnecessary e-mails I'm sorry, but to place a comment you will now have to become a 'FOLLOWER" - People can be and are nasty creatures.
At the bottom of this Blog I've put 4 links - on the right hand side - They will take you to various news sites from various countries. Keep up to date.....! The same links are just below.
Due to poor health, I have decided to use this site mainly, and the site below for some of my postings....just click on it and choose the article to read from the list!
I'm to be found on 'Facebook' as 'Ian Mitchell' and......
I've started using "Twitter" (mr le Marquis) much more, and you can be a part of it. On all my Websites you'll find, somewhere (generally at the top of the page) "Twitter Updates"- This gives you links to click on which will take you to interesting things....Try it!
This site is OPTIMIZED for use with Google Chrome. It may be that users of Internet Explorer will have difficulties to read the text - change to Chrome or Firefox - they're better and safer anyway.
All photos and articles are available as free downloads for individuals. Commercial users please contact:

Modern traps.....

Image result for modern pc methodsWith today's modern machines, it's amazing how much you have to change your older habits, and not always for the better.
Now I know that people who have, like me, the Chrome Navigator/browser and have the settings arranged, can get anything by e-mail or pc which translates automatically into a language they understand, I have had to alter - slightly - my manner of writing, because I know that Translation services often don't translate colloquial stuff very well!
A silly example: 'How about a thingymabob?' is translated into French as: Que diriez-vous d'un thingamabob?
Not quite understandable, even if it is a stupid example.

I use 'Google Translate' quite often, and it is very good, the Facebook version on the other hand is pretty pathetic - I can hardly understand a word.

Other things - invented to help us, simply don't go as far as they should - calculators being one - you normally need a collection of them to get what you need.
Or Dictionnaries - you need a few as well
That you can get all of these things, and generally for free, is good, and the 'Google Search' does more than replace a 2,000 volume Encyclopédia Brittanique!   and - you can talk to it as well!

Of course, watching TV is child's play, and listening to the Radio is somewhat easier than years ago with a 'crystal set'...! (If you don't know what that is - Google Search it!)    I remember lying in bed, with my brother, trying to get these things to work! I also recall the old valve radios that took 5 minutes to warm up, and I recall the stupefaction when somebody brought one of the 'new' transistor radios, just as big as 3/4 modern mobile phones of today!Image result for Transistor radios For sure - advance and progress can be good, but can also have its drawbacks.
Nowadays many, many people are on the Internet, and like magic, through your phone line, a couple of decoders and stuff, you have access to 100's indeed 1000's of TV programmes!Image result for TV
All you have to do now is wade your way through them all to find out - there is nothing that interests you!
You can telephone 100's of different countries......all in the price....but you will also get calls from real nuisances..... they call it Telephone spam. Personally I quite like spam, deep fried in batter!
You have a 'printer' that does everything! It prints, it FAX's, it scans, it stores...
and in general it doesn't work because it's updating something or other!
If it does work, it costs a fortune to buy more ink!
All these modern day things, but they still haven't found the 'update' button or pill, for the human body!    Image result for Update pill for humans
Never mind, everything runs down or the batteries run out.....that's modern too.
Electric cars, things where the batterie is more expensive than the rest.....!

I suppose the next thing will be 'transporters' - just point, press and in

Star Trek...........Image result for Star Trek beamer

Can't wait for it all........!
