IMPORTANT - TRUE KEYS and your PC

Image
Informations on these links: https://www.truekey.com/fr http://www.intelsecurity.com/ Last night was not a good night. Couldn't get to sleep, my brain was racing in all directions so I decided to put the Radio on. I finally had just fallen asleep when I was jolted awake! By what? SILENCE! Once again, my pc had turned itself off - no Radio! The same thing that happens when you have an update from Windows - when the update is finished, Windows can 'force' the pc to close down, and you have to restart it. I did just th at, and I found myself on the normal 'log-in' page, with a difference. Instead of putting my password in, I found an extra possibility....'Carry on without password' (on the bottom left side) together with 2 other possibilities. This was new to me, so I had a look. It turns out it's really a programme to save a 'master' password called 'True Keys' (see link above) Now I have had to change passwords ...

Cevennes and a Scotsman

Image
Robert Louis Stevenson - Author. It is said by jealous people that there are Scottish people everywhere on the surface of this Globe!    Few of them make such a mark as this one in the literary world: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Louis_Stevenson It so happens I find myself, a Scotsman and aspiring author, now living in the area in which he spent quite some time and wrote a few stories and essays' about, 'The Cevennes'   Here it was that he went around on a Donkey and wrote later his work: Pont du Gard https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Travels_with_a_Donkey_in_the_C%C3%A9vennes    ....        I was reminded about this on the news today, because they were talking about a meeting of a Society dealing solely with this route taken by Stevenson. The same route apparantly attracts some 6,500 visitors, yearly to WALK the same way. I have seen at least one who did it in the same way - Didn't have a carriage, but it did the trip! ...

This Day - 7 March.

Image
7th March 1947 - 3rd March 1993 On this day, the 7th March 1947, my wife Kathleen (Kate) ODELL was born, in Keighley, Yorkshire, England. She passed away on the 3rd March 1993 in Lorrach, W. Germany She would have been 70 years old today. She was a dedicated Nurse who trained at Guy's Hospital, London, England. She worked for many years in Western Germany, in various positions and places. Her opinion was greatly solicited by even the Doctors in the treatment of patients. She passed away from Cancer on the same Hospital Ward of which she was, herself, Sister (Ward Sister) having refused promotions which would have taken her out of the patient care section into the Administration. I miss her. Ian & Kate Mitchell                                                    *************** I am now in a happy liaison with Tina Concetta Marzo...

Dr. Google General Practitioner and Specialist of everything!

Image
Doctor Who.....? Well - the only problem is he's been discontinued! https://www.google.com/intl/en_us/health/about/ In fact, I never even knew it existed, but that doesn't mean there's nothing on Google about health - far from it! Just a click away with Google Search, you can access your medicaments and their evil workings on you - you can look up what you know you're suffering from ,but also what you THINK you're suffering from. The only problem with this is that you can rapidly become hypochondriac! It's quite unreal the things you suddenly feel you are definately suffering from, and quite dangerous too. It's well known that a lot of ailments are 'brain' things - imaginary problems thought up by the individuals themselves, which leads to unnecessary visits to the Doctor or taking over the counter medicines without reason. Sometimes just the cocktails people create do actually make them ill. Yes - you can find out what your ideal weight ...
