Vendange Vauvert 2005 (4)
White wine is not a speciality of the area, much lower quantities being made.Because of this, the white grapes are given a preferential treatment(because also of the enormous work load to clean everything after each operation with the red grapes) and are pressed elsewhere, after particular handling. Although the specialities are the reds of "Costieres de Nimes", "Merlot" and various other categories, the rose and white is very good and smooth to drink. The sparkling wines produced are also rather nice, varying from simple reinforced with carbon gas, and the higher qualities made in the "Methode Champagnoises" Rose sparkling and the whole gambit from "sec", "demi-sec" and "doux" are available. This picture shows the seperate handling of white grapes.
