Why this Blogspot and stormy weather go together.

Temperatures:0800hrs-8C 1300hrs-13C last night:6C Weather: Overcast/Grey.
Alert: NORMAL.

One of the problems of living in what is normally a warm/hot sunny region of the world is that when it is NOT warm/hot and sunny, like today, it is taken as a personal insult by the local inhabitants, and they have a tendency to accept bad weather well, for 2-3 hours, and then very badly afterwards. They get "grumpy" like my mate Chippie at bath-night, and, in the past, there have actually been murders committed after longer periods of bad weather. Luckily these longer periods are very rare, but even short periods can be murderous, in particular for regular readers of this Blogspot, since if Mr. le Marquis cannot take Bill and Ben into the garden, what is he going to do?
Well, today I'm going to try and tell you all WHY this blogspot exists.
You see, when mr. le Marquis du Galipot was approached with the idea of a PC and Internet (some time back-almost a year!) he was not so completely happy. High costs for the equipment, for the adsl connection etc.
Now I have another mate (!) called wackybaccy (WB for short)who comes from the land of dykes (he himself is perfectly straight, I think!) and he has the capability of "finding things" in the land of the dykes. He found the necessary PC/Scanner/Screen/printer etc, etc, etc, at a price even an impoverished member of the gentillity/noblesse could afford! Irresistable in fact. Since then I have given up the idea of changing his nickname to "wackyciggy" (this would have given "WC" for short - and he hasn't deserved that).
I wonder now, if both he (WB) and my other mate well known to you(Chippie),would have done what they did, with programme installations, technical installations etc had they known what was going to happen!!
Mr. le Marquis, somewhat reticent at the beginning, finally decided that if this thing was going to take up about a third of his living room, about a third of his income, and finally a third of his time, he had better find out HOW IT WORKED!
Being,in any case,of a dedicated and highly intelligent nature,he applied himself, and shared all his discoveries (willy-nilly) with those people who had made this adventure possible. After all, with who else could he praise his prowess instead of his prose, and show them that he was at least making the atempt!
That this could become trying did not occur to him, since all these pictures of emoticoms (smiley's) and such were new to him, and did take quite a while to find in quantities enough to make a letter out of them! Actually one of my regrets is that I can't pass smiley's directly to the Blogspot, or can I somehow? Must ask Blogger about that.
Anyway, it soon became obvious that to learn more about this thing standing in the corner of the room, contact was required outside the drawing room. What about a Group at MSN? No sooner said than almost done. MSN Group "marquis du Galipot" was created, achieved 7 members, only 2 of whom EVER put anything onto the Group pages, and that only once!
Mr le Marquis wasn't bothered - it served the purpose, and an enormous amount was learnt, both about PC's, and people.
Finally, mr' le marquis was informed by one or two of the members that they found the MSN system complicated! (I personally had become an expert in between, and had no problems). Always attentive to the needs and requests of his mates and others in general, when mr le Marquis stumbled onto the Google system of "Blogspots" he was completely enchanted.
HERE IT WAS FINALLY - A SYSTEM OF INFORMING WITHOUT IMPOSING - SIMPLE TO USE - IDIOTPROOF-
FREE OF CHARGES- with secondary advantages, like the photo album system "Picasa" and the photo transfer system "Hello" - all from Google, and all free, all simple to use, and all a necessity! I'll give you the links to these systems, and you can all download, or keep in a corner of your PC's attic memory until the day you finally decide to join the real world!

"Picasa" (system of albums for photos JPEG and scanned - needed to send photos to Hello and from there to your own Blogspot - which you will no doubt open shortly)Address: http://www.picasa.com

"Hallo" (system of transferring photos in greater quantities, between people who have "hallo" accounts, quicker and easier than in normal e-mails. Required for the posting of photos onto your own Blogspot- see above)
Address: https://secure.hello.com/download.php

Go on - have a go. You'll need something to occupy you when you get old and grey like mr. le Marquis.

Both systems are gratuit - easy to use and very useful indeed.

I sent Chippie the page, all he has to do is click on the blue Anonymous, like I have just done, and wait until the "post a comment page", with it's block for your text, comes up on the screen! Write your comment, (you can see that it is marked under the dialogue box- Posting As: Anonymous
After letting off steam, click onto the box "Publish Your Comment" and wait until the thing tells you what has happened! Can't do anymore for my mate Chippie!!
