Terror and Grand Prixes!

Apero for Chippie before the UKGP1 with Tinkerbelle's approval. So there we are - the act we have all been waiting for.The little bearded men in long skirts have had their moment, and will presumably go into concealed hiding - probably in Bradford or Leeds or somewhere like that, where there as so few of their kind. I'm not a racist by root, but I would like to see some of these other "non-racists" who plant bombs and who don't like white men, actually taken into custody, and publicly whipped (I'd do the job if nobody else wanted to). Just 6 strokes a week, in front of the general public (including their fans-who could watch their hero weeping bitterly), but with the knowledge that NEXT WEEK, SAME PLACE, SAME TIME, SAME THING. They could look forward to it for a whole 6 days, and that for MONTHS and MONTHS, just like those people who awaited their beheading for months and months. It would not, I fear be as pleasant as the following photo ...

I'm SIMPLY amazing!!

Tis true - I sometimes amaze myself! I don't know where the ideas come from, but they do! I was in touch with Blogger support to find out how to resolve my problem with Chippies best, and the answer which came back didn't help, when suddenly I had a thought (again) - send it simply by e-mail (which is possible if you know your own secret addition to the e-mail address-takes a while sometimes, but generally works). Problem? I could forward Chippies e-mail okay, but I thought it may have his (and my) e-mail address on it! This would have destroyed the anonymity desired, and possibly left Chippie open to all sorts of spam and stuff! Well, I think I solved the problem, as you can see from the following post/article. Genius I'm a genius! I'm a genius! me-the marquis!

Fw: BBC E-mail: Chirac gives voters food for thought

I've tried everything - except the easiest way - so here it is, the easiest way! Will it work?     ----- Original Message -----   Sent: Wednesday, July 06, 2005 9:54 AM Subject: Re: BBC E-mail: Chirac gives voters food for thought Dear Johnny Foreigner. It is with most regret that I read and hear of the distrain that M.Chirac has for British cooking, after all he's being wined and dined in the Capital of the North on the best porridge and Haggis. Could it be that it was the wine ripened on the bonnie banks of Greenock or was the waiter was wearing a skirt? Who knows. I think he is just still stamping his foot over the Frenchies common sense in rejecting his referendum. Has he ever tried the French cuisine of one potato shaped like a flower, french beans arranged in the shape of the hotels initials, a button of rice surmounted by two pieces of undeclared Mad Cows beef and all decorated by a sauce that one in unable to eat with either a knife fork...

Since I am quite quick to condemn the bad weather (hot or cold) I think, to be fair, I ought to say (from time to time) when I am happy with the weather! Like at the moment - it's georgous! We can sleep at night - the temperatures go down to around 20c, but in particular IT'S NOT HUMID! Daytime it's around 28-32c - NOT HUMID, with a light breeze. This daytime light breeze is north/northwesterly, which means it can turn to a Mistral at any moment. Already this direction is the bane of the firefighters (we've had around 40 smaller fires already) but ideal for the inhabitants and tourists. The occasionel picture to prove the point! DO NOT THROW THINGS OUT OF YOUR CAR WINDOW -THIS IS WHAT CAN HAPPEN!

SCOTLAND made the difference!

Damned good job that all those members of the IOC committee just LOVE Haggis, Scotsmen called mr. le Marquis, and other things Scottish! We don't mind giving a hand to the London people, because - let's face it - if Jacques hadn't been so nasty about Haggis and other things, they wouldn't have had a chance. Sorry for Britbulldog and Wifey - who had hoped the Parisiens would have the right to blocked streets and increases in local taxes! Chippy and Tinkerbelle have already changed their plans and dates for 2012 holiday! Maybe the Queen could change her banquet G8 menu to include one or the other of Scottish "fine" products - just for Jacques, who has spent an unhappy past few months, and faces an even more uncertain future!!

Nice one Chippie!

Got a lovely thing from Chippie today, and now I'm trying to reproduce it for the Blogspot in it's original form, but preserving the anonymity of the sender/receiver. Don't know if it'll work or not, but at least it's another thing to be learnt! learning Maybe I'll have to send it as a "link" (see at the top under "title") but I won't give up just yet!

It's the caption which I find strange-the game is for girls!

Do you love this one too, Jacques?

This is what you loved, Jacques!

And these are salmon from there - Jacques!

WANTED: NOT FOR BAD TASTE, BUT FOR NO TASTE! And this guy reckons Scottish food is no good! He refuses to eat haggis? I bet he didn't refuse the whisky that came with it! With all the fresh and wonderful products from Scotland that I see daily here in France the guy is obviously nuts. He probably doesn't realise that Tony Blair is English, and that with his gallic un-flair, he has made enemies of all good scots people. All this from a guy who stuffs himself with snails and frogs-legs (which I personally love) and is at a loss when politicians are requested to become diplomats!! Never mind, even the French public have realised that Jacques needs his pension!

Chat-Garble or garbage?

Image
Having 5 minutes free, I decided to have a look at one of the much quoted "Chat" things! 5 hours later I was in, had spent 30 minutes - had understood buggar-all, except that they all have their own language, all seem to be between 14 and 20 years old (with few exceptions), all seemed to spend all day-every day "chatting" and even announced their absence for natural reasons, in case they missed anything in between! Quite frightening really - and I didn't find my mate chippie anywhere - not even in Chat Southampton - Chat London - Chat Portsmouth etc (all of which exist - honest) Having vexed a few people, I decided I had better get out quick, and when I went back in - well you can see yourselves in the following photo - Have the kids got my number? Is my number up? Will POP ever be able to chat again? Who knows-who cares?

This is what I got on 1st ever visit to "Chat"

Looky here!

Notes in Diary

Image
ON THE PROWL! Who the hell are these two? I found a note in my diary for today, Sunday 3 July, which said - "Send a blogspot to announce reduced traffic until October 2005". Well - there you are, I've done it! I'm hoping to see the one or other (or all) of friends, mates, acquaintances, knew once- upon- a- times, welcome, unwelcome (my"ex" turned up again on the doorstep yesterday evening, with her grandson). These visits take time, and although I hope to be able to SHOW my mate chippy how to make a comment(!) I think that,as usual, my time will be spent more in the kitchen and market than on the keyboard Who knows, maybe Chippie will get taken away by it all, and will amuse/amaze you all with some witty or technical articles! He gets quite carried away when he sees those sailing boats around Carnon, and you know what they say about those who go down to the sea in ships! For those who are staying at home (like me) he...
Image
Hey man - I'd like to do that too! Any room for Tinkerbelle and Chippie?
