Politicians don't have an idea about how much a loaf of bread costs, so how they can determine a correct amount for Pensioners to live on is beyond me! It NEVER,NEVER rains in the South of France! - Google Video As everybody knows, it NEVER rains here! Well, if at all, then we get floods in September/October! We're only in June, and this lot fell in about 10 minutes the end of May! It was needed, true, because all those melons need the water, but no doubt they are going to tell us that the peaches and nectarines etc will be in short supply - too wet! To explain, the British have a day off, and they call it "Spring Bank Holiday Monday" (seems that all the British Bank Holidays are on a Monday), the Germans (in the Catholic regions) have a day off, and call it "Himmelfahrt" (I think), just the French can't make their minds up!
