A long time ago, people living in "residential" or "commercial" areas of Cities, Towns demanded that the speed limits should be respected, but that vehicles should NOT "crawl" along. The so called "kerb or kurb-crawlers" of the epoch were actually automatically suspected of being people searching for some form of "contact" mainly of a sexual nature, homosexuals or male "customers" of female prostitutes . Now, in AD 2008, here in France, people are calling out for a speed limit, in certain areas of towns and cities, NOT exceeding 20km/hour. The reasons are admirable, less accidents etc., but in effect, human nature being what it is, I think there is no doubt that within hours of legislation being put in place, homosexuals and prostitutes will take up the positions they held on the pavements - years ago - again..! It's a fact of life, when someone has an idea, someone else...

Since then, the Americans have taken it over, and it appears to be very popular over there. In France, it had a relatively short popularity, about 4 years worth, before being thrown out the window! In Britain, I'm not sure, but I think it is no longer so popular, and certainly not thids year - no money, only BAD credit...! B...

These are the "voodoo" or "voudou" puppets which have upset Mr. le President SARKOZY, to the point that he has initiated a charge to the Justice System in France. As I understood it, the French Justice System, like every other Country's is overwhelmed with minor complaints, and the waiting list is loooong..! I recall being told - many years ago, that when business in the City was good then there were lots of jokes around - when not then no jokes circulated! (Or the reverse, I can't remember...!) Just a few "statistics" for you. My Sites (Blogs or otherwise) were really started to find out how to use a wicked thing called a Computer! Well - I've learnt a great deal, and I thought it interesting to add up a few facts. When I started, I didn't know of the existance of "counters", so I suppose the first 4-5 years of Statistics are lost...gone forever, but I was amazed (when I did my adding up) to find that over the last 12 months or so, YOU have been around 6,800 visitors in total to my Sites......! Amazing, when one thinks that I do no publicity at all, and that my sites are really only a means to put my point of view and my sense of humour over. Of course there are the few (I hope) visitors "not happy" but that is normal! Even more surprised was I, when I did the "adding up" of visits to my bad videos (not my fault - I haven't got the good equipment needed) and to my Photo pages (Like Google Web pages, "Flick'r", ...

Amazing really. If you try to work out the "carbon footprint" of something like the World Grand Prix Series (F1), you will, like me, rapidly give up. To get a true idea, you have to start at the beginning, the trials in the various different countries of the world, just to try and develope a vehicle which SHOULD go faster (not at all FURTHER nor more CHEAPLY/ECONOMICALLY) than all the others, who are trying to do the same thing at the other end of the world! Then you've got to get all these things together, on a Tuesday or Wednesday, wherever they have to go, by whatever means possible. All the equipment, all the drivers/technicians/mechanics/petrol and oil tanks/tyre supplies and who knows what else! Then they all have to get installed, and spend 3 days driving round in "trials" - before the actual real thing..! Even before that, the Country responsible has already left a gigantic carbon footprint in changing roads, circuits, installations (as in the latest bom...

This thing is full of tips! Why "Blog"? I'm often asked the question, and often by people who have invested a lot of money into so called "Web Sites" with "host" companies - payable monthly or quarterly or even annually.
