Panoramiques de Frederic Froger

Panoramiques de Frederic Froger This is a link to a dozen or so photos, mainly of gold courses, world wide. The difference is that the photos are PANORAMIC - and are exceptional! Unfortunately you can't save them on your hard disc! You'll also need Adobe flash player (I think it is) or one of the other little programmes that are normally pre-installed on PC's! Have a look in - they really are nice photos! (mr le Marquis)

Liver and Kidneys-very special ingredients!

Image
Amongst my favourite, cheaper, dishes are cooked liver and onions, or cooked devilled kidneys, but not MY OWN! I was pleasantly surprised, therefore, this morning, when I attended the X-ray Doctor for a special series of X-ray photos, arranged by my GP (who is convinced that I'm an alcoholic) to prove to me that I would have to limit my consume of certain things! Tomorrow, at 1130 am, I shall stick my tongue out at him, politely of course, and suggest that he start looking in the medecines he advised me to take, because IMAGINE - Liver & kidneys are in fine form!! AND I've got photographic proof! All that is left is the pain killer treatment he prescribed, which is known for changing the liver values! He'll be disappointed, I know, and I must admit, I am EXTREMELY surprised, I fully expected there to be something or other, for my professions (Soldier/Civil Servant and Chef) were all in areas relatively exposed to over eating, over drinking and over everything else! ...

Oh dear,oh dear!

Has it arrived or not? Yesterday 35C in the shade, today 33C in the shade. Tomorrow snow and rain and -5C (not in the shade, 'cos there's no sun). I don't know about planet warming, but it certainly is playing crazy! I've sorted out everything for the Summer at least 3 times already, and changed back the following day! One thing hasn't changed, all the same. When it's hot, there is always something required which breaks down! Yesterday it was my ceiling fan in the bedroom - motor burnt out! This meant me transporting the mobile thing from the salon to the bedroom and back, as required! Unfortunately, the thing makes too much noise at night, so I'll have to replace the ventilator on the ceiling, and of course, they are all of a sudden more expensive than a month ago! Whilst moving the mobile thing, I inadvertantly must have dislodged one of my spaghetti cables - 35C in the salon, and me searching for a bl.......y cable amongst 100's that was no longer plu...

Thanks a lot!

Glad I could stop! If I have to start again, won't be this one! clipped from www.newsobserver.com A new scientific analysis links GlaxoSmithKline’s widely prescribed diabetes drug Avandia to greater risk of heart attack and possibly death. The world’s top-selling oral diabetes treatment may raise a patient’s chance of having a heart attack and potentially increase the risk of death, researchers said. The study, released by the New England Journal of Medicine, reflects data from 42 studies involving 15,560 patients who took the drug and 12,283 patients who were given other medications or a placebo. Patients getting Avandia were 43 percent more likely to have a heart attack. The study also suggested a trend toward higher death rates in the Avandia group. The results cast into doubt the safety of a drug that generated sales of $3 billion last year, even as competing medications are eating into growth. In mid-day trading, GSK shares were down $2.80 to $54.91.

Tony, my baby!

Popping into this world, "TB" gurgled a few things about "PM" (Peed Myself) "Labour - what a pain - I'm not having a new labour!" and "When I grow up, I'll have Sherry a few times"! Then he got down to work, growing into a real man! Getting off to a youthful start within the Party, "TB" realised he would need certain costumes to get ahead! So he started collecting them! And ended up wearing the same suit as everyone else, every day! Sherry (his "her indoors"- outdoors most of the time) told him he would have to do something about his image, or he would end up like his friend "BC" (Been Circumcised) and she didn't want her Tony to follow any examples "BC" had given! "Take care," said she," or you'll end up like him"................................................................................. A few words to introduce the real McKoy! Now here is the REAL story! I'v...

Hearts of Oak!

....THE "CUTTY SARK"- ANOTHER EVENT OF "MODERN TIMES"............ Just a few examples of photos I wanted to show you, if Blogger was working properly! (This Cutty Sark is probably one of the most possessed - it's the plastic model copy, not for Chippie's- his copy must be real!) I beleive this is what was called "frigging in the rigging", but don't quote me..........! Certainly a magnificent sight, fully blown up! Now for the facts of this morning! So there we are! As of this very morning, the heart of oak has been destroyed , broken, suffered a coronary, and has been cremated! Ashes to Ashes, dust to dust, fire to flames! The Cutty Sark probably is no more, or has very little left. Ironically, it seems that the wood was alright, but the iron was all rusty! Now, the iron is probably all that is left! Once proud ship that sailed the seas, it's pointed part proudly up front, in advance, (just like my mate Chippie), it won...

Some pictures that move!

I just found out that I can click photos (see last article re Feast food) and NOW I've found out I that should be able to Blog videos! Well - amazing ain't it, folks? I don't think I'll be doing it often, 'cos my mate chippie considers that "video" must be limited to certain moving images which should be pleasurable, particularly to the male eye! I won't subject you all to that, and I feel rotten telling on my mate Chippie! "Her indoors" will probably give him a good spanking - He'll enjoy that - lucky him! Anyway, I'll be looking at this video for the first time on this Blogspot - no sneak oreviews, so if it ain't good, or if it's naughty, NOT MY FAULT! clipped from clipmarks.com 9 POPS Bush Making Fun of Himself by  crdz9802    5-11-2007      3  No Remarks

This is fast(ing) food!

Image
Now I know people are busy these days, but to even take 5 minutes to actually eat these things would be a real waste of time.Drink a pint of milk, or a litre of beer would be more agreeable, and probably more nourishing! One of the advantages, of course, could be that these superb food offerings may entice the one or the other of us NOT to eat! Not to go on a diet, just simply NOT to eat that particular meal time! In the clipping following this article, are a couple of"quotes" by the late and great. The one concerning "want fries with that?" recalls a situation in Alsace-Lorraine, noted for it's charcuterie, potato dishes and sauerkraut. In a Cafeteria we actually saw a sturdily stout gentleman dig his way through a MASHED POTATOE SANDWICH (about a yard of french bread, stuffed with a mound of mashed potatoes, followed by the same thing but with FRIES instead of mash! I felt quite ill! (iwmpop) mr le Marquis! clipped from content5.clipmarks.com

clipped from clipmarks.com Tell me what you eat, and I will tell you what you are. Anthelme Brillat-Savari I went into a McDonald's yesterday and said, 'I'd like some fries.' The girl at the counter said, 'Would you like some fries with that? Jay Leno Man is what he eats. Ludwig Feuerbach My doctor told me to stop having intimate dinners for four. Unless there are three other people. Orson Welles (1915 - 1985) The best diet is sea food... and eat it unknown   I found these quotes on clipmarks, made as a comment to accompany the fast food photos on the Article above!

An "older" French account!

Image
This fellow was long gone, but he reared his head, strangely enough, in a sleepy little West German town called Detmold. The Royals (1st Dragoons), known generally as the "Royals", and now a part of the well known "Blues & Royals" (mounted cavalry, although I rarely saw a horse) were arranging their affairs, to go to war - in France! Actually, it was a new NATO arrangement for so called "desert training" and we - almost 500 soldiers, a couple of dozen Centurion tanks - Ferret Scout Cars, and all the rest of the paraphenalia necessary to pass a couple of months in the Sunny South of France! I, for my part, was convinced of my intentions during these 2-3 months, I was going to get a suntan!  Going out in stifling heat onto the dusty flat plains of the "Plateau de Larzac" in a Centurion tank, all "batonned" down, did not fall into my plans!   So - the first thing to do was find a "cozy" little corner job- and do somethi...
